Recently, I watch a TV drama, is named Dangerous Mind, which expresses the educational system in Taiwan. My feeling is as deep as the chief actor does. The Ministry of Education intends to change educational policy in order to release students from pressure. What about the result? As Taiwanese know, it is opposite of the origin planning. The stress not only increases but also heavier than before. What is the problem? This is not for us to solve it because it is official responsibility. However, parents’ expectancy also becomes the accomplice; therefore, my theory divides the situation from parents, school, and government.

        First of all, parents want their children to get excellent grades in the school. Yet what is the problem and where is it? Did someone note these problems? As a matter of fact, there is no problem here, but there sometimes may over-require for their children. Here the problems are. Most of parents never understand their kids because they always think they have faced many statuses in their life more than their children did. So they hope their kids can be better than them. In addition, they always think they know what their children’s thought; therefore, there are many disputes between them, especially at the age of teenager. In addition to these reasons, parents always give school heavy pressure for their children. Thus, parents always want their children to attend extension classes after they have done program from school.

        Next, school limit many things such as how long can students’ hairs cover, must wear uniforms, and so on. All of the schools often execute exactly the policy which is not suitable for current period from the Ministry of Education. For instance, teachers can not punish students whatever students do whether or not it is proper. Besides, teachers give students much homework and many examinations in order to get identification from parents. But they never think students’ condition only because parents and school want students to go to the top school. However, they forget the origin goal which delights students in studying. Like the chief actor in this drama, he demonstrates many problems that may occur in the school even if it is not as serious as in real life. I cannot promise that it is not the same example as the event in this drama, but I sure that there may the similar problems to this drama. Thus, most of the schools have to think what to do and how to do. They must prevent something happen before that event occurs in the school. They cannot continue the same problems to the future because it will affect children’s emotion.
        Last, the government itself has also many problems. First, politics element is one of the problems. Most politicians always care their power. They do not know anything when they injure our children in anytime and anywhere. Second, like parents, they never think what the policy is good for people, even for our education. They accomplish strange policy such as the textbook for using dependent on which one school uses it. It is not as similar as ever. It cause more stresses on students’ emotion than many years ago because school, even students themselves and parents do not know how to test in national examination. Today, if I can, I will advise politicians who do not make the same mistakes as now because it is not help us, and it hurt us. If they do not change their policy or behavior again, I certain that our children will be harder than before; therefore, the best way is transforming everything which it not suitable for students.
